The Church at Little Falls is a non-denominational church. Jesus said in Matthew 16:18
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (NKJV) – Matt 16:18.
It is noteworthy to mention that Jesus said: “My church” which means that the church belongs to Him and Him alone and thus identifiable by following the authority of scriptures. Furthermore, the church was established on the day on Pentecost (Acts 2). This is the church that Jesus has died for, and this is the same church that we worship in today.
The Church of Christ follows the authority of God’s word and everything is done in accordance with God’s commandments.
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. (NKJV) – 1 John 4:1-3
1 Prayer
Is our means to communicate directly to God.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16.
2. The Lord’s Supper
Instituted by the Lord Jesus (Matt 26:26-29) and we partake of it on every first day of the week in accordance to Apostolic example (Acts 20:7).
3. The Collection
The giving off our means as we have purposed in our hearts to give, on every first day of the week (1 Cor 16:1-2; 2 Cor 9:6-7).
4. Sermon
Preached for the edification of the congregation, and following, by inference, the example of Paul in (Acts 20:7).
5. Singing of hymns
A cappella – as instructed in Col 3:16; Eph 5:19. we sing and make melody within our hearts to the Lord. We do not use musical instruments to worship God during our service and worship to Him.
God is clear about this that the melody must come from our hearts.
6. Fellowship
The fellowship we share with one another is important.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2.
This can only be achieved through fellowship with one another.
In whatever we do, Glory is always given to God.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (NKJV) – Col 3:17
