Psalms 127:3: “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward”.
It is up to us to train them.
Ephesians 6:4: “And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord”.
Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it”.
2 Timothy 3:15: “and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus”.
Paul says in 2nd Timothy 1:5: “when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also”.
We learn from these scriptures the importance to teach and train our children we cannot leave it to someone else, we are the ones that need to teach them as did Lois and Eunice. We need to spend time every day reading from the Bible. Make sure they have their own Bibles. Study with them characters like Joseph, David, Timothy, and others. Make these studies interesting let them participate as much as possible. Let us teach them how much God loves us. John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”.
During our worship on Sundays let us encourage them to sing with us, pray with us, and listen to the Word of God being preached. Let them learn to take notes.
Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil”.
Satan is very busy out there in the world. Let us teach and train our children so that they will love God and obey His commandments.
David said in Psalms 122:1 “I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord.“
Let us have this attitude in us and show our children that we are happy to go and worship our God.
